The Society was founded in 1966 to provide a meeting ground for parents of the School and exists to promote social contact amongst the parents, staff and friends of the School, and to raise funds to provide additional facilities for the pupils.
Members offer to contact boys and parents before they join the School, and second-hand uniform and kit sales are held. The Society provides refreshments for Saturday sports activities, and donates funds for special items of expenditure.
In recent years these have included a major refit of The Owls' Nest, floodlighting of the School, minibus purchase, replacement of a grand piano, refurbishment of the Butty Bar, the new cricket nets, assistance with equipment for the Natural History Society and a large contribution to the new Drama Theatre Campaign.
