Physics

From the formation of a star to the bouncing of a ball, Physics helps us to understand the universe in which we live.
Our aim is to develop in our boys scientific ways of analysing complex but everyday problems.

The department’s highly qualified subject specialists enjoy links with Oxford University, Manchester University and the European Nuclear Research Organisation, CERN.

Many of our A-level pupils go on to study Physics or Engineering at the most competitive universities in the UK.

Outside the classroom boys have the opportunity to compete in a range of competitions, which include national Physics Challenges and Olympiads, and our boys regularly win Gold and Silver Awards.

We have a thriving Engineering Club. Pupils can also take part in our MGS F1 in Schools enrichment course.
